Title:Running Never Stops Fate: #5 in the Mraèsvijetu Series
Background: This one is the most recent of the series, I like this one the most, currently.
It's just fun to write, ya' know?

Running Never Stops Fate: #5 in the Mraèsvijetu Series

Running, I'm running. I can't even tell what it is that's behind me, because as soon as sensed it, I knew I was in trouble and I ran. I felt as though I was flying through the forest; hands grabbed at my shirt and pants, but I soon realized the hands were only the sharp, pokey branches of the trees surrounding me.
Why was this person, or thing, following me? What had I done? Could a person not stroll through a forest? Take a different trail once and a while? Whatever the answers to those questions were, I kept running for it.
"Kelly...Kelly come back...," my mother's voice beckoned. No, I told myself, It's a trick! Run, run and you'll get away.
I heard snarling behind me and could only imagine what, after all, was chasing me. I kept running, and running down this mysterious trail. Soon, I found myself coming upon and opening in the foliage. "What the...." I muttered breathlessly to myself, but kept running.
Something hit my leg and cried out, falling to the ground in pain. I was afraid to look downward, toward the damage, but I couldn't help myself. What it was that had caused my falling was, unbelievably, an arrow. I am wrapping my fingers around the arrow, and pulling. Oh the pain as pulled the arrow out of my injured leg. And the blood flow was constant and steady after doing so. I pushed my hands over the wound, trying to stop more blood from pour out, but it wasn't working.
It's caught up to me by this time though, and I know I'm dead, just dead. I have no chance of survival what so ever. Because the beast standing behind me, that my brain is straining to process, is a wolf. But it's giant, mutant you even call it.
"How dare you, Vermin, try and enter Mraèsvijetu!" It yelled at me.
"I-I was just taking a new path..." I pleaded to the creature. I knew it wouldn't help, one way or another.
"You shall die, Vermin," It replied.
"I know," I whimpered, and watched as the creature then leaned down, sticking it's hand out toward my head. And I knew, in those last few seconds before it would snap my head off that I should have never, ever come down that path.
But instead of the creature beheading me, or snapping my body in half like a twig, it paused, sniffed the air for a second, and ripped my throat open.
I was changing, I felt it. Or was that the feeling of dying? Of my soul pouring out and into the creature who held me ever so gently, like a lover, cradling me in it's arms. What was this creature doing to me? I felt...different somehow. Then came the pain. I felt every bone in my body crunch and snap as my body changed shape, every second a new pain hit me. Over, and over I cried out; I screamed again and again with all the pain I was in. Would it ever stop?
The creature let me go and ran back into the forest. I was still crumpled in a heap on the ground, the pain was indeed still there though. I felt it in every part of my body, down to my core. I stood though, some how, through the pain and ran after the beast. Something told me to, and I listened. Just like something had told me to go down that path.
Later, much later, I found out I had been Changed. I was now part of the ever real Mraèsvijetu, the Dark World. The beast that had almost killed me was indeed an ancestor of the wolf, but changed in the path of Evolution. He had been guarding Mraèsvijetu, and i was a threat. I loved my new home though, as a guard I had made many new, unbelievable friend and killed many...Vermin.
